I’ll start with this – this post is long due! And it’s about time that I’ve finally gotten around to writing about the one the only….DABANGG RELOADED CONCERT! All I can say is that it was indeed a “DABANGG” Concert and definitely worth the drive and watch! Did I mention I was able to see Jacqueline Fernandez from literally a foot away from me?!! 😎 Don’t believe me? Well I’m prepared with proof just like Harvey from Suits 😛

I think one thing I’ve realized as a Jacqueline fan is that she is really a self-made individual. I mean with all the trends of Biopics in Bollywood lately, if there ever is a biopic made on her, it should aptly be titled, “Jackie – The Rising of the Girl Next Door.” She’s made it big and has such a large fan base in a short amount of time! But what’s more is that she actually makes time for her fans. So as we walked over to our seats I noticed there was a bunch of security people standing around our seating area and immediately I thought to myself “Someone is definitely going to enter from this side!!!” and another Bollywood Buff sitting in front of me said the same thing. All of a sudden I go “Holy crap Jackie’s going to enter from here!!” My new friend in front of me looks over and goes “How do you know how do you know??” And I go “Look her makeup artist the very talented Shaan is standing right there with the group of security guards!!” As the both of us have our fan girl moment, our mom’s are just shaking their heads as if we’re crazy LOL but you’ve to understand, it’s not everyday where we get such close glimpses of these Bollywood celebs!
Next we see Katrina Kaif entering through and you’ve guessed it! Right through the same place! Lucky me right yep I know at this point I’m two for two (I’m giving myself a pat on the back right now) 🙂 As usual, Katrina KILLED IT!! With songs like Swag Se Swagat and of course Kala Chashma, I don’t think there was one single person in the arena who was still sitting in their seats. Everyone was jumping out of their seats including the security guards haha. It was so great to see her and just as she killed her performance with Sid during The Dream Team Concert last year, she did the same this time around!

Time and time and again with all of these stars coming out one by one it was a seat gripping concert – no really I didn’t even wanna leave my seat to use the restroom and was fine waiting once everyone darted for them after the show ended. Throughout the entire show we had the awesome Maniesh guiding us through the concert and what was impeccable on his part was his spontaneity! He could have very easily read the cue cards that he had, but instead he went off on a whim and just spoke with the audience to see if there was something in particular we’d like to request to the celebs and singers! From getting Guru Randhawa to sing some of his famous hits to having Salman do steps from Maine Pyaar Kiya, he was able to convince them all! Now I know why Maniesh is always hosting every show and award program on TV – cause he’s so damn talented!
And then we heard that Prem urf Bhaijaan urf Tiger urf SALLU was coming on stage! As the crowd went wild and at this point everyone was bombarding our section since we naturally thought even Salman would be coming through our section. I kid you not, with all these people putting their phones in front of my face I was irritated but at the same time I couldn’t blame them as just like them, I wasn’t able to contain my excitement either! Meanwhile we see that Salman is actually making his grand entrance through center stage #facepalm and he came out to the Maine Pyaar Kiya theme song of course! It was LOVELY a moment of reminiscing back to the 90s! Followed by a performance on “Aaj Ki Party Meri Taraaf Se” and then my favorite he performed with all the co-actresses on stage – from Jackie, Katrina, Sonakshi, and Daisy it was a phenomenal compilation to say the least! Personally, I loved Daisy and Salman’s performance together! Their dance on the songs that they originally starred in together such as: Selfish, Photocopy, Tere Naina Maar Hi Daalenge, and Tumko To Aana Hi Tha brought me back to their chemistry in Jai Ho and I wanted them to keep performing and not stop! And then all of a sudden Salman starts talking in Gujju and the whole audience goes insane! I mean come on the Concert was taking place in Jersey and the audience was more or less ALL GUJJUS! If we weren’t riled up prior to this – you better believe we were now! We hear “Choro Gando Thai Giyo” and we were tricked! They played the very fitting and iconic Dhol Baaje and who better to do Garba with Salman than the Gujju Girl herself, Daisy Shah! Actually would love to see them together in another movie again! Seeing Salman perform with Jackie on the songs from the film “Kick” – Yaar Naa Mile and Jumme Ki Raat, brought me back to the theater as if I was watching these songs over again in the theater with the iconic movies intact! Then seeing Salina or Katman hmmm? I don’t remember what their jodi name was when they were dating alright just trying over here! Swag Se Karenge Swagat was the song they performed to and it was full of yep just that SWAGGG!! The signature step is quite difficult I tried to copy ahaha 😉
In my opinion this Concert was well worth it – it was fitting that it was in a way Salman’s comeback Concert since he was returning with a Concert in the USA after twenty whole YEARS!! From performances by all the actors, actresses, singers, and the Dance King himself PRABHU DEVA! It was magical! I mean can you imagine seeing Prabhu Deva performing to songs like Urvashi Urvashi and Muqabala LIVE???!!! It was AMAZING 😀 Even Salman joined in on some hits like Go Go Go Govinda and Jalwa. Just like his song Aaya Mausam….For this power-packed Concert! All in all, it was great – Yes, I’m biased because I AM a Sallu fan, a Jackie fan (goosebumps when she danced to the Madhuri remake of Ek Do Teen, and Sau Tarah Ke!), a Katrina fan when she danced to Kala Chashma and Kamli, a crazy Daisy Gujju fan when she performed on Selfish, Tu Issaq Mera, Tere Naina Maar Hi Daalenge, and my favorite Gujju hits! And a Sonakshi fan because choose any of her songs from Sawaar Loon to Nachan Farrate she can go from graceful to energetic in just seconds! Did I even mention how Guru Randhawa turned the Concert into a party with his songs like Lahore, Suit Suit, Ban Ja Rani, and High Rated Gabru?? I know I thought it was as Shilpa Shetty would say, “Superrrrr Se Uparrrrr” vala Concert! Even my mom was glad we went – I could just tell she didn’t want to admit it but deep down she was quite pleased with me making her come along. If you haven’t checked the Concert out yet! Be sure to see if it’s coming your way to your town soon! I’m always on the lookout for these Concerts from Bollywood Celebs to Singers, I’m always ready to go! It’s an experience in itself, the vibes, the people it’s all great fun! 😀 If you’d like I can keep you posted on certain concerts our way. I’ve been wanting to go see these two artists LIVE for SUCH a long time! But something always comes up 😦 anyone who does end up attending tell me how it was! Whether you go with a bunch of friends or family, ultimately I’m sure it’ll be worth it! 🙂
